BREAKING: The Israeli naval vessel that abducted the 180 Sumud Flotilla crews off the coast of Crete (an act of piracy and a gross violation of the Law of the Sea) is intend on victimising two of them: Saif Abukeshek, a Spanish citizen of Palestinian origin, and Thiago Ávila, a Brazilian citizen who has distinguished himself with repeated attempts to break the illegal, genocidal, Israeli blockage of Gaza. Unlike the remaining abducted members of the Sumud Flotilla crew, which the Israeli navy disembarked in Crete, Saif and Thiago are detained and bound for an Israeli prison. This is a double violation of International Law: First, Israel abducted them illegally at sea. Second, Israel is now transporting them, violently, illegally, to one of its notorious prisons. Meanwhile, the Greek government is cooperating fully in Israel’s criminal behaviour, effectively surrendering its search and rescue obligations and conniving with Israel to victimise the brave crews of the Sumud Flotilla who are steadfastly, through their activism, defending International Law as well as the verdict of the International Court of Justice which has clearly and unequivocally declared Israel’s continued naval blockade of Gaza and its occupation of the Palestinian territories illegal. Through their complicity and their silence, the Greek government, the European Union, the mainstream media, the West more generally, are flouting, indeed they are trashing, their supposed, much publicised, ‘Western values’. Let us all demand: · The immediate release of Saif and Thiago · An end to Israel’s criminal behaviour in international waters · The termination of Israel’s illegal Gaza blockade · That the Greek government and the European Union cease and desist from lending logistical and moral support to Israel’s genocide in Gaza and its ethnic cleansing campaigns in E. A nun was assaulted in occupied East Jerusalem earlier this week amid growing concern over Israeli attacks against Christians. Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach. The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.

Between 2005 and 2011 she filed 181 detailed referrals to Greater Manchester Police (@gmpolice) and social services. Each one documented the systematic rape and trafficking of girls as young as 11. Each one was ignored. Authorities did not dispute the abuse was happening. They disputed her. She was labelled not credible. Her team was dismissed. In 2014 she was made redundant. The reason officials gave for ignoring her? Community cohesion. That was the calculation. Institutional comfort weighed against the rape of children, and the children lost. A 2024 independent review commissioned by Greater Manchester's mayor confirmed her referrals were credible, substantive and appropriately communicated. The review found 96 men still considered a risk to children, and described the convictions that did happen as having scraped only the surface. Five police officers refused to cooperate with the review. They retired without sanction. Sara Rowbotham was awarded an MBE. The officers who ignored her received words of advice. BREAKING: The ICE agent who murdered the unarmed Minnesota mother, Renee Good, has quietly returned to active duty in another state. Three months after ICE agent Jonathan Ross shot Renee Good in the arm, breast, and head as she tried to drive away — muttering "f@ckng b#tch" on his own cellphone video as her car crashed into a parked vehicle with her dying inside — he is back on active duty in a different state. Ross faced no criminal charges and only three days of administrative leave. He was quietly relocated out of Minnesota and went back to work. Good, 37, was an unarmed mother who was shot on January 7th during a Minneapolis ICE operation. Seventeen days later, VA ICU nurse Alex Pretti was shot dead in the same operation. The killings sparked global outrage, mass protests, and ultimately consumed DHS Secretary Kristi Noem's career. Now, the agent responsible for Renee Good's death is performing administrative and investigative duties. The accountability process has been frozen — deliberately, according to senior DHS officials — because ICE's internal affairs division cannot begin its own review until the FBI investigation concludes. And the FBI investigation has stalled. One senior ICE official told the PunchUp Substack blog that the FBI needs to "sh*t or get off the pot." "It's just hanging out there," they said. The FBI probe has been clouded by serious misconduct allegations from the beginning. FBI supervisor Tracee Mergen resigned from the Minneapolis field office in January after saying she was pressured to reclassify her civil rights inquiry into Ross as an investigation of an alleged assault on a federal officer by Good herself. Whistleblowers told Senators Whitehouse and Durbin that FBI Director Kash Patel personally directed agents to reframe warrant language to portray the dead woman as a suspect rather than a victim. Multiple senior DHS officials told PunchUp that the decision to freeze out Minnesota state investigators from the crime scene was directed by the White House. Career officials who believed a joint federal-state review would produce a more credible outcome were never consulted. When outgoing ICE Director Todd Lyons was asked directly by a House subcommittee whether he would apologize to Good's family for how she was publicly characterized, he said he'd speak to them privately but wouldn't comment on an active investigation. Hours later, he announced his resignation. Somehow Jonathan Ross remains on active duty — and Renee Good remains dead, a victim of the Trump administration’s malfeasance.
