#OutageUpdate #CityPowerUpdate #InnerCitySDC Inner City SDC 18 June 2024 Time: 11h50 *Bree Substation* : Full restoration has been achieved at the Bree Substation, following a trip at the New Stock Exchange. The outage was triggered by stolen cables. *Observatory Substation:* The power supply has been fully restored to customers in Bruma, Cyrildene, Kensington, Observatory and surrounding areas following a trip triggered by a faulty cable. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding. Please use electricity sparingly to prevent overloading the system, as this could result in electrical equipment failures and prolonged outages. For isolated calls, customers are encouraged to log calls on citypower.mobi or 011 490 7484. For escalations of calls logged over 24 hours, please dial our toll-free line 0800 003 156.

We urge customers to reduce their electricity consumption to prevent overloading the system. Observatory Substation: The Bez-Valley/Kensington distributor tripped, causing interruptions in Bez-Valley, Bertrams, Kensington, and surrounding areas. We are experienced unexpected delays in investigating the root cause of this outage. Our operators are currently investigating and working towards resolving this issue, and we will communicate the Estimated Time of Restoration (ETR) in subsequent updates. Cleveland Substation: Both Denver South and Denver Standby distributors tripped, impacting Benrose, Denver, and surrounding areas. Operators are on-site addressing this issue, and the ETR is scheduled for 18:30 PM if all goes according to plan. For a sudden restoration, we urge customers to unplug electrical appliances to prevent potential damage or inrush current incidents. We appreciate your patience as we work on resolving these outages.^MB
