Skid steers
Forklifts
Those lots are massive and the equipment isn’t cheap.

Considering changing stance on syndicated deals to ‘hard no.’ Not for investment reasons, but because there are inevitably 2-3 elderly HNW types on every zoom who are accidentally on-camera and unmuted. And when something goes wrong in the deal, that’ll be the deciding signature.

Government contracting update for the people following this journey.
You all know my goal for 2026.
Become a government contractor and only chase contracts in the six figures and up. In government land, that part is the easy part.
Here’s where we are right now.
We have submitted three bids.
One got cancelled.
The second one I lost and it was ugly. I was four times higher than the highest bid. That was a straight mistake on the estimate.
The third one hurt in a different way. We estimated it correctly, I felt good about it, then a company I had never even heard of won it by coming in about 50 percent cheaper than everyone else.
My honest assumption is they do not understand the scope.
But the government does not care about assumptions. They care about the number.
So we keep going.
I am going to keep journaling this in public until I get my first award.
I want to destroy the gatekeeping around government contracts and show regular contractors how to get in.
The era where only the big dogs play this game is ending.

I reached out to a lemon law firm this morning and felt like I was one of these Andy Elliot Grant Cardone types totally judging this inbound sales rep.
Sales rep: “what’s the problem”
Me: explained the issue
Sales rep: you have to have 3 attempts at fixing the same problem in order to qualify. Tries to hang up.
Me: I researched lemon law in florida and if you keep the car in the shop for a cumulative 15 days for the same issue it can also qualify (my case)
Sales: oh yeah, every state is different how long have you had the issue?
Me: 5 days but the part they need is 3 weeks backordered.
Sales: okay call us back in 10 days.
Me: are you sure you guys don’t want to get involved now so we can proactively start the process which is guaranteed to occur?
Sales: nope just call us back in 10 days.
