Spend policies on Maxim aren't just an API-layer check. Budget caps and per-call limits are enforced in the Anchor program itself, so a payment that breaches a policy fails at the instruction level with a typed error like per_call_limit_exceeded.

You can't run an agent fleet you can't see. Maxim exposes per-agent metrics, spend, transaction count, and protocol split over a window, plus a filterable transaction history and webhook alerts on budgets and policy violations. Autonomy is only safe when it's observable.

It gives developers an easy way to set up a wallet for each agent, control how much it can spend, and see every payment it makes on a clear, verifiable record.

The official $MAXIM contract address is now listed on our GitHub organization and on the developer's profile, alongside the website. Verify it matches across all official sources before interacting. Any other address is a scam.

Every Maxim Protocol operation is idempotent via a client-supplied key, and each response carries the Solana transaction hash and the protocol used. Retries stay safe, and reconciliation is exact down to the individual payment.

Tightening onboarding today: added a prerequisites section to the first-payment guide so new builders aren't hunting for an API key mid-tutorial. Not glamorous, but the path from landing on the docs to making a payment should be frictionless. github.com/MaximProtocol/…

Phase two is production readiness: time-window policies, multi-sig approvals above a set threshold, fleet-wide policy templates, plus webhooks, an audit log API, RBAC, and a full CLI. After that, ecosystem work lands: handlers for ACP, AP2, and AMP as they gain adoption, reference agents, and a public bug bounty once the audit completes. One chain done well, audited before mainnet. That's the plan.

Phase one is underway. The Anchor program is feature complete on devnet for wallet registration, transaction recording, and policy enforcement, and it stays on devnet until an external audit clears. The TypeScript SDK ships first, Python follows in the same phase, and both cover x402 and MPP from day one. The dashboard, showing agent inventory, spend, and policy events, moves to public beta to close phase one.
