The uptown football field has been transformed into the greatest Flag Football Field in America. Come out and watch the young Mustangs compete on Tuesday and Thursday for the next three weeks. @MustangFB1

Day 2 of the @IHSAA State Wrestling Tournament is in the books. Wild team race with four (4) WaMaC teams in the top 10 and all vying for trophies. @MV_Wrestling with three (3) semifinalists Jaspers (144), Ryan (150), & Wood (285). Curran (215) battling on the backside.

The first time we were able to play the annual thanksgiving day football game on the new field. We had a few new team members this year from the north. The little boys and Dad had a come from behind victory to avenge a loss from a year ago.

Congratulations to the 7th grade boys track team for winning their track meet Monday at CCA. This is their 2nd team win and they are looking for a 3rd win at conference on Friday at CPU.

We wrapped up a great 3/4 Redzone season this week. I am incredibly proud of this group of kids.

Big day for @MV_Wrestling who pushed nine (9), count 'em, nine (9), through to the @IHSAA Class 2A State Wrestling Tournament today in Independence. MV over Indee in a close District race. Hot Dog was a B+ & popcorn was a solid A-. Independence HS was a great host as always.

@JakeKrobMVL This has to be the greatest coaching duo in parks and rec soccer history! The kids are lucky to have you two!

The parks and rec soccer season has come to an end. What a great group of 14 2nd and 3rd graders, and an awesome assistant coach. Oh, and wrestlers make pretty good futbol coaches.

I was lucky enough to take the boys to the old honey hole last night. Cam caught this really nice smallmouth. What a blast!

Mount Vernon's 8u baseball team captured 3rd place in their first ever tournament yesterday in Cascade. Went 2-1 on the day, with wins over Dubuque and Dyersville. Great day for baseball, great group of kids
