In predictable fashion, my appeal against a 3-home game / 10-game ban has been rejected in lieu of me breaching the maximum dimensions allowed for a banner. Banned for a breach of health and safety. They confirmed the actual offence in their most recent email. No reason was given, just that it was rejected and I have no further right of appeal. It reads like they just put appeal rejected on the original letter, like they wrote the rejection email at the same time. In summary I doubt they even read it and never intended to consider it. An "independent adjudicator" appointed by the club and no further right of appeal. So a club run by people of dubious character get to judge of what is right and wrong, when it's debatable those in power know the difference. They took my season ticket money happily and then decided to let me into games as they see fit. That is the last season tickets I will ever buy while these owners are in post. There is no way I am handing over 5 grand next spring to those shysters. They really should not be in any position of power. So well done Dave and Karren, that's another 4 opinionated legacy supporters you have repelled, your plan is getting close to completion. A few more tourists if we stay up, a few more empty seats if we don't. A couple fewer overpriced shirts sold among other made in China tat from the shop. FWIW they have banned all 4 of my season tickets, because they are registered to my address. Even my son's ticket, in his name, can only be used if he arrives early, queues at the ticket office and shows photo ID, then they "may" print him a paper ticket. He's not that desperate and neither are my family and friends using the other tickets. Why humiliate them? No thanks. The good news is, before I can attend the next home game they will allow me to attend, like being on parole I must check with the ticket office first and if I have complied with the terms of the ban, they will "maybe" let me attend the remaining games. I can see myself not making that phone call. For good measure I am also banned from the club stores and shops, plus to any other ground, for instance to watch the U21s or ladies teams. All games at every level until until after Manchester City, unless we beat Burton and draw a team at home in the next round. In total a minimum of 9 and a maximum of 10 games and 77 days between Sunderland and Wolves. As 1 of only 3 people banned, fair to say they cherry picked those who to ban. All to protect their precious vanity and show to others that protest, no matter how peaceful and inoffensive, will not be tolerated by these owners. Dissent from the little people will not be allowed. Which is why I will continue to assist Hammers United in any way outside of the ground on match days and if I decide to go back, inside the ground too, maybe with a banner that is inside the regulation size. Right now I have to say, my enthusiasm for West Ham has gone completely. It will come back eventually I guess. #nomorebs @HammersUnited2
