On March 18, 2024, I made the biggest mistake of my life.
That was the day I launched SLERF and accidentally burned the tokens meant for the pre-Slerfers.
In that instant, everything changed. A brand-new token went live with $20 million in liquidity and a $10 million market cap, yet no one owned any supply.
It became something the crypto world had never seen before. The most fair launch in history, born entirely by accident.
When I realized what I had done, my heart nearly stopped. I thought it was over. Panic set in, and the only way to explain what happened was to speak directly to everyone. So I opened a Twitter Space.
Over 40,000 people joined. I expected to be torn apart, called a scammer, shouted down, ridiculed. And yes, that happened. But after the anger came something I didn’t expect: love.
Support started pouring in not just from individuals, but from billion-dollar companies and on-chain protocols.
It was surreal.
Out of one of the darkest moments of my life came an overwhelming sense of unity and humanity.
I made a promise that day: I would fix this.
Then the miracle happened. People donated. Companies donated. Exchanges pledged their trading fees. Hope was reborn.
I grew up lower-middle class raising $10 million for a memecoin felt like a dream. But now we had to raise another $10 million to make everyone whole. I didn’t know how we’d do it, but we kept trying.
And we didn’t stop.
Every bit we earned, every donation, every contribution we used it for refunds. Slowly, piece by piece, we brought the number down.
Now, 1.6 years later, I’m finally fulfilling that promise. In three days, it becomes real.
I’ll never forget the people who stood by me through all of it.
The moral of the SLERF story is simple:
Never give up.
Take accountability.
Always try to do what’s right.
We all make mistakes. What defines us is what we do after.

I promised to make art for $DOGGO as long as there was community. As of now there isn’t any left.
It’s sad - because I feel it could’ve gone all the way, but not enough people wanted it after the devs rugged.
If it somehow flares up again, I’ll keep helping with art ❤️
