@Jack_Brentnall It’s not about the red card itself, it’s about the wild inconsistency in officiating. Bosnia was extremely physical the entire first half and not one yellow card was called. Plus we all saw Messi’s foul (which was more egregious) and didn’t get called.

Correction - Americans couldn't believe it. Everyone else saw that as a clear and obvious red card

Mike Evans will likely have a bigger positive impact on the 49ers than Myles Garrett has on the Rams. It’s simple logic. LA already had a top-8 pass rush win rate last year and wasn’t deficient at DE. Jared Verse is an upper-tier player. Meanwhile, SF was very deficient at WR — particularly the X, a spot that’ll trigger compounding returns in Shanahan’s offense. The Rams’ pass rush should be better. The 49ers’ WR corps can be transformed. All additions happen in the context of a team sport

Not sure what the Rams have really done to earn this much benefit of the doubt. They choked last year. Should have been the No. 1 seed and a SB team but blew almost every big game. This is one of the saddest "BUT I WANNA WIN THE PRIZE NOW, MOMMY!" moves in NFL history. It wouldn't be bad if they kept Verse too, but to send your young pass rusher and a cornerstone away for a guy in his age-31 season who almost certainly won't repeat a record-breaking season is just foolish, shortsighted GM'ing.
