@ClayTravis While I agree with most of these, isn’t the biggest issue that since these are considered Student-athletes, they have the same rights as other students and can in theory transfer schools whenever they choose? could be wrong but I think that’s why limiting transfers is difficult.

On NIL: the spending cap has to be real and there have to be significant penalties if it’s violated. But I do think a ton of NIL issues would be fixed if the transfer rules above were implemented. You can’t have a player playing for four or even five different colleges. Bonkers.

Lots of fantastic suggestions below. My transfer fix: 1. Signing as a high school recruit binds you to the school for at least two years, preferably three. 2. Only one transfer without sitting out & that must be to new conference, otherwise you sit a year. 3. 5 years to play 4

@ClayTravis The NFL will continue to always win the TV ratings vs anything. IMO, go to 8 playoff teams, play the 1st 2 weeks in December to get to the championship game, have that on NYD or around there. Coaching carousel and portal open after that

@ClayTravis Goes back to the bigger issue of college football’s calendar being completely broken. The CFP should be played every Saturday through December with the championship game being on or near New Years Day. The NFL will still have Saturday games, but you have to keep on playing.

@davebiddle With how this offense performs in goal line and short yardage situations, can you say for sure they would have converted 4th and 1? Watching Sayin run a QB sneak looks rough, and the OL had issues generating any kind of push. I understood the call but wish they went for it too.

@LanceMcAlister I’d like to add in 2021 as another missed opportunity. Team had an MVP candidate, the NL ROY, decent starting pitching, a resurgent season by Joey Votto, and was left adrift by an abysmal bullpen/relief pitching. If I’m not mistaken, they were in the wild card hunt until the end.
