If you accept two basic assumptions, the logic becomes pretty straightforward. First: Hezbollah remains a standing military threat on Israel’s northern border. Not a theoretical one. An active, armed, embedded force with rockets, tunnels, and a track record. Second: the current border reality is fragmented, irregular, and tactically messy. It favors infiltration, ambiguity, and constant friction. Not stability. Now connect that to what’s emerging from the latest reporting (including the attached BBC News piece): Israel is increasingly operating under a long-term security logic, not a short-term reaction. And that logic is simple: A straight line is easier to defend than a broken one. Not philosophically. Operationally. * Fewer angles of attack * Clearer control zones * Less ambiguity on “who is where” * Lower ongoing cost to maintain security So if Israel redraws or enforces a more linear, controlled boundary, it’s not about aesthetics. It’s about turning a chaotic frontier into something predictable and defensible. If Hezbollah is considered an unacceptable permanent threat, then Israel has no incentive to revert back to a weaker, more porous line. Not next year. Not after a ceasefire. Not after another “temporary calm.” Only after one thing: A real, durable change on the other side. Not a pause. Not a rebranding. Not a “we’ll behave for now.” A structural shift where southern Lebanon is no longer a launchpad. Until that happens, the timeline doesn’t matter. 1 year 10 years 1000 years From a security standpoint, the border becomes conditional, not temporary. bbc.com/news/articles/…

Please explain why Norway has a booming oil and gas industry and ours is dead? This isn’t incompetence. It's treason.

@AmiDar @CitedNeed Not actually, no, because Israel can't withdraw from where Israelis don't live unilaterally without the place becoming a terror base. They tried it like Gaza. They're stuck until there's a deal - and the PA said NO to a deal several times already.

@AmiDar They have the vote, the PA and Hamas just doesn't hold elections. If you want to carve out land for them, then the borders will have to be drawn around where they live, not where Israelis live. Their leadership said no to this several times, including 2008.

@mrlowercasea @kew2dssysb @visionergeo If it means I can protect and ensure the continued existence of everyone I care about then yes! Seriously we have been making the same points many times now. What part of me putting my loved ones first is so hard for you to understand? You would think the same in my position.

@mrlowercasea @kew2dssysb @visionergeo I care about the planet too. But I don't care about letting everyone I love getting killed so that their killers can be rewarded with their own nice planet.

@mrlowercasea @kew2dssysb @visionergeo Well I don't give a fuck since I me and my loved ones are 100% guaranteed to die in either scenario. I just want to be able to take anyone with me for attacking the people I care about.

@mrlowercasea @WaffenCone @EliAfriatISR Yes, you know nothing of the history. I’m not surprised. It was agreed by Israel, Jordan and Egypt that the Palestinians would have their own state on what is now known as the illegally Occupied Palestinian Territories. Seriously, iPhone automatically capitalises that.

@mrlowercasea @kew2dssysb @visionergeo Yes 😃 It increases the odds of mutually assured destruction triggering somewhere. 100% correct. It's only sounds dumb to you because you are safe right now. The rest of us are not. That's the entire point with nukes. Back off or it's mutually assured destruction 😄

@mrlowercasea @kew2dssysb @visionergeo Yea that's why it's effective, the strong are going to get hurt too if they start shit with others. They don't give a shit about killing everyone at the moment because they feel invulnerable. War will no longer be a game, so it's win win as far as I am concerned. Ultimate peace.

@mrlowercasea @kew2dssysb @visionergeo Not for those of us that don't have them. The nuclear powers are attacking the shit out of everyone else. They wont stop until everyone has nukes. Only then can we have true peace.

@CAR1821 @WaffenCone @EliAfriatISR But Waffen Cone is right. The Arabs in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) were Jordanian citizens until Jordan stole those in 1988. Egypt had dissolved the All Palestine Govt early in Gaza and occupied those stateless people.

@mrlowercasea @WaffenCone @EliAfriatISR That’s not peace, it’s armed robbery on an international scale. Only barbarians would propose something like that. Oh, you’re a Zionist, your morality is from Bronze Age myths. Peace is when Israel ends the illegal occupations and ends their violation of Palestinian sovereignty!
