Yes, the American company Securiport offered to invest $2.4B in Pakistan's airport security systems - but the offer has been politely shelved by Pakistan, prompting the American CdA Natalie Baker to write a letter to the Defence Secretary Lt. Gen. Ali (R) urging reconsideration. This is the most vital bit that has been dishonestly ommitted by the writer of the article. The funds will indubitably be funnelled elsewhere, or the deal rejected again.
Airports are strategic assets. Pakistan doesn't tolerate foreign intrusions in them. Pakistan abandoned the Emirati deal for the Emiratis to run the Islamabad Airport a few fortnights ago. Similarly, nothing will come of this.

The fallout continues. A friend just informed me that Etihad Airways has abruptly terminated the services of 15 Pakistanis working in the hangar. One of them had spent 18 years with the airline. He was summoned to the immigration office and asked to leave within 48 hours.

Islamabad & Lahore terminals has sharp increase in international passengers & caters more intl passengers than karachi

@mujawed @geronimouh Exactly—just pay a little extra on a fee transactions, that’s it. Non-filer rates are essentially nothing more than a license to remain outside the tax net by simply paying a bit extra on few transactions. There’s no need to file or declare actual income.

Over the last weekend, I observed in Multan a surge of new SUVs (Haval, Jaecoo, etc.), as if companies have been distributing them for free. The roads were extremely busy, giving the impression that there is no such thing as a “hike in fuel prices.”
There appears to be a segment in Pakistan for whom nothing is expensive at any level, and even the FBR does not seem willing to question or scrutinize them. Do these newly purchased SUVs match the declared wealth in their tax returns or even they file the return?
Meanwhile, those for whom fuel prices truly matter are being pushed further into miserable conditions.

In other news, an estimated 25000 students of Pakistan paid almost 50k to the British council to appear for A levels math exam and two hours prior to the exam the paper got leaked. Countless hours of prep, hundreds of thousands paid in tuition fees over the year, all gone to waste. Bear in mind this is the same educational board that funnels 50 billion out of Pakistan each year. Yet this is the third consecutive year they've failed to secure the paper. The students can't be compensated in any way.

Agar propaganda hi chalana hai, at least facts tou sahi rakh lo. Pakistan has played only one game at Wankhede in history, and Shoaib Akhtar was just 4 years old at that time. Even this chef wouldn’t have been more than 10–12 years old back then.
But of course, why bother with facts when you know your “target audience” won’t verify anything when you fabricate any story targetting Pakistani players.
