The martyr Deema Abdel Latif Al-Hajj, 29 years old. Her sister @LamaAAlhaj1 says: "Deema, my first friend and my sister, was not just a number. Deema was the soul of the house and the family." Deema, who went to Scotland, sacrificed herself. My older sister, possessing a compassionate heart, my second mother, the person I spent most of my time with. Whenever I was asked about my role model, I would answer without hesitation: Deema. She was highly accomplished and loved wherever she went. I always took pride in her when asked about our relationship. I'd say she's my sister, and I've always been delighted when told I resembled her in her intelligence and distinction. Deema studied Earth and Environmental Sciences at the Islamic University and worked as a lecturer there after achieving the top rank in her class. She completed her Master's at the Islamic University and the University of Glasgow in Scotland. Then she worked at the World Health Organization, leaving a beautiful mark everywhere, diligently loving and performing her work with utmost sincerity. Deema was her parents' right hand, the keeper of their secrets, the most responsible and caring among us. Deema, her husband, and their five-month-old child were martyred in an Israeli bombardment on their home on November 21, 2021.
