I used to avoid buying flowers for myself. They're expensive and after a week or so they'd be dead. Then a few months ago I told a friend this and he said...but that's the whole point! Flowers remind us that beauty and life are fleeting and that we should be present and grateful while it lasts. I started buying flowers regularly that week. Since then, I can’t count the number of times I’ve walked past them and felt a small burst of joy, followed by gratitude, and presence. Well worth the money. 🌷
