@nonregemesse @StephenWarwick9 @AlanDarchy @SianGriffiths6 @thetimes Considering you’re incapable of reading the article… “a private school in one of the most deprived areas of the country has blamed Labour for it’s closure saying it’s working class parents can not afford the VAT hike” That’s your viable business being crippled by Labour.

@LizClements @David4BKH Have parks been considered for selling off? There are several very large parks in Bham. You wouldn’t have to sell the entire park off therefore maintaining the same number of parks for the public. Selly Oak Park for example which you never see full so could be reduced in size

This is shameful reporting. BMT’s collection is our shared civic history. It belongs to the city and the council is the steward. It will never be for sale, despite the implication here than it ought to be.
BBC Midlands@bbcmtd

Birmingham City Council owns an artwork collection valued at almost half a billion pounds, a BBC investigation has discovered. The scale of the council-owned art collection has also revealed. Full story - bbc.in/3ZdRhzl

@GarethDennis 1. A Chair should not be that involved. Why wasn't everything he sent bounced to Andrew Haines? 2. A lawyer would love this case. Clear evidence that he has cost you employment & therefore money.

So as you might imagine, I've been bombarded (positive) by messages from people across the rail industry and beyond with stories like my own including about Hendy specifically... Now is the time to go public in whatever way you feel safe to!

@EricEatsPickles Can those radar guns even work when aimed at a bike or person? Is the target area large enough?

@ModgeChris @David4BKH @ThiesGillian I'd like to make Lea House Rd one way, with no entry from Bournville Lane. Would cut the ratrunning traffic on Lea House & Bond St.

The sociopath class in full flow. Nothing matters. Say any old shit, truth doesn't matter, just get the retweets and pocket the money. Sociopathic grifting. The raw sewage in Britain's political media class.

I’ve been given some quotes as to the sort of thing Mandy Blumenthal was shouting at the audience. "Your children will be raped and murdered by terrorists." "Your women will be raped by terrorists." "You are supporting terrorism. You are supporting women being raped." Sabrina Miller described Mandy as “charming and friendly”. But she sounds unhinged? Is it true @Mandyblumenthal? I’m happy to post your response.
James Wilson@per_incuriam2

Will Mark Lewis, Mandy Blumenthal and journalist Sabrina Miller tell us the truth about what happened at the Reginald D Hunter gig? Because “Shimon and Talia” don’t exist, there was no “romantic holiday” and they weren’t “tracked down” for their story. Mark and Mandy are in their own words “unapologetic Zionists” with a history of agitation and confrontation. Other audience members say they were not “hounded out” “by a baying mob” and the only “hate fuelled nightmare” was Mandy wishing death and rape on the audience. So, come on @MLewisLawyer, @Mandyblumenthal and @SabriSun_Miller. Here’s your big chance. Stop mugging us off. What really happened?

@twloat Edinburgh has been doing this, but with above ground bins, for a long time.

Locally, I can think of at least 1 street that NEEDS communal bins. And when I say ‘need’, I mean it. No front gardens, narrow pavements, cars parked on both sides of the road, and council wheelie bins no longer fit down the alleyways around the houses.
Samuel Hughes@SCP_Hughes

Underground communal bins are common in Spain. They are often made even less conspicuous by paving their upper surface with the same material as the surrounding street. If this street were in England, it would probably be lined with dozens of plastic wheelie bins.

@post_liberal There's also massive periods of time when the records are either poor or nonexistent. How many Huguenots settled in the UK? As a % of the overall population it may not have been much, but in those areas where they settled, it would be considerably higher.

The problem with the piece Toby Young is tweeting out is not the historical fact that immigration to the UK was generally very low pre-WW2 but the attempt to link ‘mass immigration’ to the recent riots, which is a lot more tenuous than some people on here seem to believe.

The reason Irish immigration is not generally included when people talk about immigration to UK is bc most came in the 19thC when the whole of Ireland was part of the UK. Hence, it was internal migration and not immigration in the sense of exchange between two different countries
Aaron Bastani@AaronBastani

The extent to which Irish immigration into England is just…ignored is pretty amazing when you look at the numbers. Around 75% of scousers have Irish heritage. 1 in 5 Liverpudlians was Irish in 1850s. Places like Manchester & Bradford mushroomed with Irish labour.

@DanNeidle If it's really too expensive, then they should be pushing for a price control, a 'max £ per Xml'.

The campaign to abolish VAT on suncreen ignores a pile of evidence that cutting VAT on specific products doesn't reduce the price of those products. It just puts more £ in the hands of retailers and suppliers.
