This is an absolutely stinging rebuke of anyone and everyone that has turned a blind eye to what the Israeli government is doing to Gaza and the hostages. '...the more those who remain silent or cowed from speaking out will be complicit.' The @FT is correct.

Yarden Bibas is begging the government—stop the war, you’re killing the Hostages. "That’s how I lost Shiri, Ariel, and little Kfir. The army pressure is putting the hostages in danger. A deal will bring them home. I’m terrified for my friends, David and Ariel Cuneo. I already lost Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir, but David can still come back. We have to stop the fighting and bring everyone home. That has to come first.”

💥After Netanyahu threw around details of the Bibas murders for a 𝟑𝐫𝐝 time, this time to @AIPAC, ignoring the family's supplications, Ofri Bibas Levy, Yarden's sister: "We are learning new details via the media and the prime minister. This is pure torture for the family."

💥He doesn't hide it. For Netanyahu the Bibas family are not real people, they're useful props. It's a lesson some 75% of Israelis have taken to heart.

💥Despite the Bibas family begging him not to use the family's tragedy, Netanyahu brandished their picture at the IDF officers graduation ceremony & repeated details of their killing. Members of the public stood & turned their back to him–some yelling "why didn't you save them?!"

Almost 50% of 18-24 year olds went for either the Left or the AfD according to 🇩🇪 exit polls. Hyper polarisation.

The Bibas family has requested no government rep attend their funeral.

Remember that there were more IDF troops protecting illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank on Oct. 7 than there were in southern Israel near Gaza. Those reckless, expansionist policies have not changed, in fact they have accelerated.

This is the key change in Israel since October 7

Since the start of the “ceasefire,” israel allowed only 120 patients to leave Gaza. Israel is not allowing field hospitals to enter Gaza. Only 76 medical trucks entered Gaza. The medicine in them is not the most needed. There is a list of 35,000 patients who need treatment only found outside of Gaza. 40 per cent of the kidney patients died.

Netanyahu says Trump proposal for ethnic cleansing of Gaza is the “day after plan.” He says it can only come once Hamas is destroyed. So then, it’s not about removing Hamas. It’s about disappearing Palestinians
