In case you haven't noticed,... .... the Epstein files are being talked about, posted about, and shared about less and less and less. They are slowly fading into the darkness never to be seen or heard of again. And we're ALL letting it happen. WE CANNOT LET THIS DISAPPEAR!!

@7GB0_ this could also fix the misogyny issue as any criticism would be directed to the general dev team and not specifically Soda

@7GB0_ honestly i think the best way of mitigating these issues is just making a separate account for anything phighting related, having one person on the team post that is gonna get them harassed no matter how much you raise awareness about it

hello all, i think this is something important thats been needed to be said recently. all information and decisions made about phighting go through all of us and are decided collectively, the amount of hate directed to soda simply for posting information comes off as misogynistic

@LegendOJ1_RBLX granted, a lot of roblox games are free but microtransactions still go through them That and Roblox itself doesn't have good moderation if you look at Fortnite people can still create games and theres little to no bad actors from what I've seen from the outside? I might be wrong

@LegendOJ1_RBLX okay but a recurring subscription to post games is insane no platform does that, not even Steam Steam charges you $100 on release, which for roblox would be a more equivalent $25 or something of the sorts not $5 a month forever until the end of time +

People don't realize that we can't have nice things when people abuse them. We either let bad actors make games freely or we put up walls to deter them from doing so, pretty simple. The Roblox community talks and yells a lot but rarely proposes meaningful solutions to the child safety issues on the platform. And it's not as straightforward as "hiring more mods". Roblox has not taken away anyone's ability to create games freely - you can still make games for personal enjoyment without any age verification. This was how I and many others started as a young dev, just making games for the fun of it, not caring about having any players at all. For those who have games that have players, the likelihood of a game with any CCU at all making at least $5 a month to cover the Roblox Plus costs is actually pretty high. Most people who have games that have any players will most likely be able to afford Roblox Plus just from the game's revenue alone. Not to mention Roblox Plus is actually a pretty good-looking subscription anyway. The perks seem actually meaningful unlike the current Premium situation. People should see it as just another cost of running a business, no different to the money that already goes towards advertising or hiring devs. It's also worth noting that anyone in the DevEx program already has their ID verified, and if people are worried about having to verify their ID but they want to make games that make them money, they must realize that ID verification is already a requirement to cash that revenue out. To be able to publish games to kids, I fully agree with the type of vetting process that Roblox is proposing. The sole reason that bad actors slip through the cracks so often right now is because of a lack of vetting. It's unfortunate that it has to come to this, but these requirements will undoubtedly deter many bad actors who publish inappropriate content to kids. The one thing about this update that needs some more thought is the lengthy process of getting your game approved for All Ages. Realistically, most Roblox devs are going to be making games that kids will play. To restrict games to ages 16+ by default and have devs wait potentially WEEKS to be accessible to their target audience is a pretty annoying process. I think there is room to streamline this process as it seems like the only thing I can argue with about the whole change. Overall, this change shouldn't be as controversial as it has become. It's the easiest way to stop new inappropriate material surfacing on the platform. Will people still slip through the cracks? Sure, it can't be perfect and some people are willing to take the risk. But it will deter a lot of people who would've otherwise been free to publish that type of content. There are definitely flaws, but I think people underestimate Roblox's willingness to change things based on backlash. We should work together to come up with alternatives and fixes to these flaws rather than storming with pitchforks. On a final note though, I think most of this anger comes from Roblox constantly changing stuff rather than coming up with one policy that they stick to. It's like they rush features out then add the clarification and fixes later when people are already mad. They need to think through things more thoroughly and be more engaged with the community to gather an opinion on changes before they go live. It's no secret in Roblox's history that people don't like sudden changes, and the spree of sudden changes recently has really riled people up.

Roblox is changing the eligibility to upload games on the platform. To publish for all ages, you now need: - Roblox Plus; - ID Verification & Age Check; - 2-Step Verification enabled; - and have your account in "good standing". Roblox will additionally run games through trials to ensure engagement is legitimate and not from fake or bot accounts. To publish for Ages 16+ & Trusted Friends, you now need: - An account in "good standing"; - An age check; and - An account that is at least 2 days old. Any user on the platform, whether they meet any of the requirements, can still publish games for personal use. Roblox is stating they chose this requirements because "most creators already meet many of the criteria" and it will "make it more difficult for bad actors to bypass our moderation systems". Lastly, Roblox will make that transition by providing 100,000 users with a Free Roblox Plus subscription for 6 months. To be eligible, a user may have a minimum of 100 hours of total playtime on their game in the past month & no major violations of Roblox's Community Standards.

please please please never stop talking about lebanon, this is genuinely horrific. bombing civilians was already bad enough but using extremely toxic chemicals with long lasting damage is an EXTREME low. wake up you people.. in no world should this ever be acceptable
