I'm back up north in a couple of weeks. Ripon, then Carlisle and Dumfries, and Hexham if there's time. I've never been to Ripon or Dumfries before.
Apart from the obvious - Ripon and Carlisle Cathedrals, Fountains and Hexham Abbeys, Carlisle Castle - what shouldn't I miss?
