@NorCalU1 @daverossi1973 The league my son played in from 10u to 14u ejected the head coach if a parent got ejected. Didn't eliminate the issue but I think it greatly helped. It was a well ran league with good umpires too. As a coach I told my parents if they got me ejected, they weren't coming back.

Epidemic going on in Baseball. Serious shortage on umps. Avg age way over 50- no new guys coming up. Saw 2 games in Fresno/Clovis Fri at 330 and 630 diff fields. Same guys. Anything below Var is now 1 man crew. This is everywhere. Would love to hear thoughts on why.

More and more, various sectors of society are shifting toward a model where the well-behaved majority is expected to accommodate the dysfunctional few. The modern classroom is just one example of this trend. Institutions designed for productivity, learning, and progress are increasingly being burdened with the task of managing those who refuse to follow basic rules, often at the expense of their core purpose.

Every time we ask schools to solve another societal problem, we pull them further from their core mission: education. The result? Kids can’t read or do math. Schools can’t fix poverty, cure mental illness, or parent your kids. But the knowledge of how to teach math, reading, science, and history is freely available. It’s time to eschew the nonsense and just get to work teaching.

When high schools lose head coaches and have no one competent to run your programs just remember : you showed no appreciation or respect to the people that put 12 hour days in to build those programs and you will get the kind of coach you have earned …

One of the worst things we've done in education has been mainstreaming the language of mental health providers. - No kid is just nervous now; they have anxiety. - No kid is just sad now; they are depressed. - No kid is just distracted now; they have attention deficit disorder. - No kid is just feeling awkward in their skin now; they have gender dysphoria. We have unwittingly greased the tracks on the way to mental disorder. I see the consequences of it dozens of times each day.

Players Bring attention to yourself. Stand out. Be noticed. How? Keep your mouth shut. Play hard. Play with energy. Play with toughness. Wear the uniform right. Don't show boat when you do something good. Don't hang your head when something doesn't go your way. Be a great teammate. Play with class. Respect your opponents. While others act like fools, you act like a real player that's been raised right and respects the game.

@tromblybaseball Stepped away from a 20 year career in education this year to be a financial advisor for many reasons, this being one. I was losing the ability to foster accountability, responsibility, and perseverance in kids. Individualism and removing all adversity in life is a slippery slope.

True story. I’m about to quit coaching baseball. Just had an issue with an unrealistic parent and I’m over it. Parents are ruining youth sports. Such a big deal I am putting tbis out there.
