@gavinpurcell 100% yes! I was a day 1 owner of PS1 and been active through every gen. Though I think Sony did a direct pre-sale awhile ago and I missed it.

ok here's a real deal idea for the next time you launch a console:
give preferential treatment to the customers who have been paying you for some time.
@profgalloway has mentioned Apple opening up this idea but for god's sake get your product in your hardcore users hands first
