#Undertone promises and under delivers in the same breath.  Over half of the film was hanging by a thread, but the final stretch of events saved it. What an awesome crescendo and payoff. Even more than the sound design, the element that got under my skin the most was the camera tricks and framing. There’s a lot of dead space in the shots, as the subject typically takes up only about a third of the frame. Naturally, your eyes start wandering and scanning the background. Most of the time, that means staring down a dark corridor. THIS IS A SCARY WAY OF WATCHING SOMETHING!  A few bone chilling shots rattled me even MORE than the disturbing audio files. Where the film falls short is in leaving story threads open, and it does drag and feel uneven getting to the good stuff. It’s good. Just shy of being great. Although it sneaks in some standout moments.

Luckily, this trailer is still avoiding the best moments in the movie but I would still recommend only watching about half of it. If it hooks you by then, GO SEE IT!!!
