💢 The Israeli military said Monday it killed two Hamas “cell commanders” in Gaza, an account that contradicts Palestinian medical sources, who identified the same two men as civilians.
The IDF named them as Saleh Ramadan Muhammad Khalifa, of Hamas’ Nuseirat Battalion, and Muhammad Musa Diab al-Habil, of the Western Jabalia Battalion, claiming both posed an “imminent threat” and were targeted and killed.
Medics cited by local media said Saleh Khalifa was killed when a drone struck a sewing tent in Nuseirat. Multiple reports said Muhammad al-Habil and his child were killed by a drone while filling water on their roof in Gaza City, a child the IDF did not mention in its report.
Israel routinely labels those it kills in Gaza as militants without evidence. The two were among at least six Palestinians killed Monday as Israel kept targeting suspected fighters and violating the October ceasefire.

The Gaza Health Ministry said 986 Palestinians have been killed and 3,138 wounded since Israel began breaching the October 11, 2025 ceasefire. The minimum cumulative death toll since the start of the genocidal war on October 7, 2023, has surpassed 72,996 killed and 173,246 wounded.

🇸🇩 UN: Drone strikes kill over 1,000 civilians in Sudan in first five months of 2026
More than 1,000 civilians have been killed in drone strikes in Sudan between January and May 2026, a senior UN human rights official said, warning of a sharp escalation in the war’s brutality.
UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk said there has been a “sharp increase” in drone attacks alongside widespread reports of rape and sexual violence, as the war enters its fourth year. At least 2,670 people, including civilians and combatants, were killed in 2025, marking a 600% increase in drone-related deaths, according to ACLED data.
This statement follows a recent strike by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) that killed at least 15 people in el-Obeid, after drones hit a cemetery and a gas station, health officials said. Sudan Tribune reported yesterday marked the 5th consecutive day of RSF attacks on the key city.

🇸🇴 🇮🇱 As Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich celebrates a “strong partnership” with Somaliland’s president in Jerusalem today, new reporting from Drop Site reveals what may be driving the relationship: Israel’s search for a strategic foothold on the Red Sea.
According to three Somali officials, a former Somali security official, an EU security official, and a Somaliland official who spoke to Drop Site, Israel already has an intelligence presence at Somaliland’s Berbera International Airport.
Reports and regional officials suggest an Israeli military base near the Bab al-Mandab Strait is also under discussion. Such a base could give Israel a platform to project power against Yemen’s Ansarallah movement and increase its influence over one of the world’s most critical maritime chokepoints.
Somaliland, still unrecognized by every U.N. member state except Israel, appears willing to risk regional isolation in exchange for diplomatic recognition, while Somalia and neighboring countries warn the growing partnership could further destabilize the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea region.

Journalist Hadi Hoteit said an Israeli drone stalked him as he drove alone in his car in the south of Lebanon today, with no other vehicles ahead of or behind him. He said he turned around in an attempt to avoid a strike, as it targeted him deliberately. According to the Press TV correspondent, the drone continued attacking the area even as people tried to rescue him.
