@rtcizenski @Athorvin Still living up to the stereotype of the dumb yank. The ruling body for the sport world wide is FIFA. The Federation of International Football Associations, not soccer Associations.

If the USA wins the World Cup it’s officially called “soccer” worldwide.

@Sup3rbobb Only because media propaganda has messed up your minds. You no longer have the ability to seperate the American people from their shitty government. If you count American X-twitter posters, that's even more deranged.

@aonefouroh Look at you, all cuddled up in your happy place, hating on America just because there's nothing better for you to do. Can't leave your house without fear of being assaulted, just living your best life.

@BowtiedPeak I don't know how Argentinians will take being made a part of Europe. I think they may object to being a part of the EU.

@DJ_Tao Now that's a statement I can get behind. Truly insightful to make the distinction, when so many have not.

@Theo_TJ_Jordan People that wear their politics on their sleeve, to the point of making decisions based upon how their political side would prefer, is a really messed up way to live your life. I almost feel sorry for these indoctrinated people.

This is Liberal Sociopathy. 👇 outside of Liberal media spaces, the American people were ecstatic for that game. In Seattle. The needed Hatecraft is collapsing.
The Seattle Times@seattletimes

Some Seattle soccer fans have mixed feelings about patriotically backing the U.S. team during the FIFA Men's World Cup, given the actions of President Donald Trump. #Echobox=1781802264-2" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">seattletimes.com/seattle-news/w…

@DiaLancea It's not Americans being talked about. It's the English that have been saying that forever.

@clusterbitch_ Wearing your politics on your sleeve is never a good look. All you do is become a laughing stock for people that could not care less. It must really suck to be carrying around all that hate in you at all times. It's really not a healthy way to live.

@Noahpinion There is validity in this statement. NYC, LA, SF, and DC are all massively overrated, and in decline.

American culture is dominated by NYC, LA, SF, and sometimes DC. We need more cultural awareness of Houston, Chicago, Miami, Austin, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Phoenix, and Dallas.

@IamSean90 Yes, it's all bad. The outlook is for a terrible storm, with rain and high winds. There could even be a flood. It's bad, all bad, everything is bad. Alas, soccer has been defeated by greed.

@Loudlobster578 Well that's what happens when you play somewhere that alcohol isn't allowed. Think of how bummed out Scotland's Tartan Army would be if this were 2022. I shudder the thought.

The arrogance of thinking youve “discovered” this quirky sport called football (watched by more people in the world than any other), and think it needs to be fixed so television (already making gobs of $£€ broadcasting it) can bring it to the masses.
Dilan Esper@dilanesper

I find soccer purists weird. Every sport, as it gets popular, makes adjustments to accommodate television coverage. Yes, the phony cover story of "hydration" is a bit silly, but healthy sports allow television networks to make more money so they can make more money!

@Zar_RedIssue It's not our gay water breaks, it's FIFA's. I think FIFA means to keep them after the World Cup too. Guess you have many more years to look forward to bitchin and moaning about water breaks.

The World Cup is here. For the first time, the tournament is happening in three countries at once: the United States, Mexico, and Canada. It’s bigger than ever, with more teams, more games, more viewers, and more money on the line. This special World Cup episode of Reveal looks beyond the spectacle of the beautiful game to the organization behind it: FIFA. The global soccer body stands to take in billions from the tournament, while fans face soaring ticket prices and host cities pay massive sums for transportation, security, and infrastructure. “Sport is this incredible glue that brings people together,” human rights advocate Mustafa Qadri tells Reveal. But he says that also makes it “highly vulnerable to cynical people coming in and exploiting it for their own gain.” This week, reporters Alex Shephard, Tim Murphy of Mother Jones, and Reveal producer Artis Curiskis follow the money, power, and politics behind the World Cup—and ask who gets to be part of the world’s biggest game. Listen to the Reveal episode here: revealnews.org/podcast/world-…
