Allisha speaking about Angel: “She’s the piece we needed to get over the hump…and I feel like here in Atlanta we can show she’s more than just a rebounder cuz Angel’s a bucket”🙂‍↕️

The Atlanta Dream were the most improved team last season, going from 15 wins in 2024 to 30 wins in 2025. Those 30 wins were tied for second in the WNBA. They now return five of their top six scorers from that 30-win team while adding a double-double machine in Angel Reese. Now the question is who the Dream will add to fill out their bench? On paper, they already have some solid contributors in that area when you consider Sixth Player of the Year Naz Hillmon, along with Te-Hina Paopao and Isobel Borlase should she join this season. The 5'11 guard was named the 2026 WNBL MVP and also made an impact in the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup Qualifying Tournament, averaging (10.4) points in 19 minutes. That ranked fourth on Australia behind current WNBA players Ezi Magbegor, Sami Whitcomb, and Alanna Smith. The team could also look to add veterans on minimum contracts, such as Aerial Powers and Odyssey Sims—two capable veteran producers who were part of an Indiana Fever squad that nearly reached the Finals last season. Another option could be 6-foot-4 forward Laeticia Amihere off the bench. All three players have played for the Dream in the past. Adding those three to Hillmon, Paopao, Borlase (if she joins this season), and the No. 13 pick would give Atlanta a deeper supporting cast and help address the team’s depth concerns.

Updated potential Atlanta Dream lineup after adding Jordin Canada 😳 One of the scariest teams in the WNBA with elite talent AND one of the deepest benches in the league. Scary hours in Atlanta 🔥🏀

I notice Angel Reese is the only 4 that numbers get compared to all positions instead of her position. Aja, Stewie, Phee all get compared to each other but Angel #s get compared to PG, SG, etc. They compare assist, 3pt% to guards. Compare her #s to other forward smh
