Learned a lot about entrepreneurship & myself. Loved almost all of it. I worked and dropped many different projects, always motivated to start over. This time as a solo-founder. Let’s see what this new chapter will bring (2/2)

@maubaron What type of content worked best on tiktok? E.g showing the app’s features, talking about xyz I’m also an app dev and struggling with distribution. Not sure if I should put more in ads or refine my content. Any advice would be precious 🙏

I made $14,764.68 in November 2025 made all of it with my Christian mobile app i don't just want to share my revenue tho, let me tell you exactly how much i spent in marketing this month, no bs - tiktok ads: $5,915.08 - meta ads: $689.50 - snapchat ads: $67.12 - UGC creators: $400 TOTAL: $7,071.7 basically a 50% margin not bad but... as a bootstrapper i've focused SO MUCH on optimizing revenue and conversions, because that was the only way i could survive but what i really want is to maximize impact my sole focus going forward will be finding a balance between building a great business while actually making a difference might be 10x harder tbh but idc as i've always said, i'll do my life's work in this niche
Marc Lou@marclou

I made $90,148 in November 2025. 🧑‍💻 CodeFast — $29.8K ⚡️ ShipFast — $21.1K 📈 DataFast — $16.7K ⭐️ TrustMRR — $17.5K 🐥 Twitter — $2K 🍜 Indie Page — $1.1K 💨 Zenvoice — $394 🛡️ ByeDispute — $380 🎞️ YouTube — $323 🚀 LaunchViral — $258 🌱 HabitsGarden — $197 🧬 BioAge — $147 📚 WorkbookPDF — $137 💩 PoopUp — $112 It's the first time my little startup portfolio is somehow balanced. CodeFast/ShipFast used to account for 90%. Now, with TrustMRR and DataFast, it's getting closer to 25/25/25/25 diversification.

Is it just me or is charging users weirdly uncomfortable ? I’m battling that voice saying: why would anyone pay for something I built?

@SalzmannOnX @thepatwalls Was gonna ask this. I’ve been advised to offer equity to an influencer, open to it but not sure how to structure this

@thepatwalls Do you also know how much equity they give? To me seems a bit harsh to give away a huge junk to some influencer. I rather pay him for 2-3 videos. Maybe I am just old fashioned in this case.

THE INFLUENCER-EQUITY MODEL something I've been seeing more often in my private chats with builders... Instead of the typical "influencer distribution model", where you: 1. reach out to 100 influencers 2. pay 10 of them for a video 3. 2 of them get millions of views (this is very laborious and sounds miserable to execute on) i've been hearing more builders are partnering with 1 (maybe 2) influencers for equity on the app itself i just got off the phone with a guy who built an app in a quite niche space. and he partnered with one of the biggest influencers in that space for equity. again it's not a huge space. but that influencer now: > promotes the app constantly > helps inform the founders (builders) the right features to build > promotes those features and improvements as the app gets better > and generally has skin in the game to make that app win over the long term i think this is smart and ive seen two apps doing this successfully in the last week. thought it might be useful to share this, hope it's helpful

I got rejected by 144 investors before raising $150M for my $200M+ rev/year startup. After 144 rejections, I started questioning our approach. Were we solving the right problem? What were we doing wrong? Why weren’t investors seeing what we were seeing? Were we the right team to build this? We tried everything: different pitch angles, new deck structures, and reframing the problem. Then came the 145th meeting, where we closed our first growth round. That yes made everything worth it. But getting there took years of mistakes and hard work. We went through a lot of trial and error just to figure out what resonates with investors. We tried dozens of approaches to figure out what made investors engage. Some landed, most didn't. But each iteration taught us something about what builds conviction versus what just sounds good on paper. And once we cracked that code, our Series C closed faster than expected. And today, I see so many founders in the exact same position I was in 10 years ago: grinding through rejections, questioning everything, and trying to figure out what works. So today I want to give you the resource I wish I had back then: Something that shows you exactly how to structure these conversations and navigate the entire process (because the fundraising cycle can be a big distraction and take a toll on you as a founder). So I've partnered with Notion's Startups Team to create the essential fundraising resource that helps you avoid the mistakes that cost me years. Here's what you are getting: • The actual decks I used to raise $150M for Super[.]com (Series B, C) • 50 real examples from funded startups like Eleven Labs and Artisan AI • A searchable database of 10,000+ investors - angels, VCs, and accelerators you can reach out to immediately (this alone would take months to build manually) • An AI-powered fundraising agent built into Notion with step-by-step prompts (no separate ChatGPT needed) Want access? • Like and share this post • Comment "FUNDRAISE" • Follow me so I can DM you the link I'll send it over ASAP. P.S.: If you are serious about fundraising (now or in the future), you should grab it right away.

@Pauline_Cx It’s a good approach. I guess our “feelings” become sharper with time. Distribution is hard to crack and most people give up without really trying

There's a feeling, no good rational rule. And difficult question. My take: If you make a lot of impressions by your ICP but no one signs up, it's probably because: - you don't solve a painpoint - the offer isn't good - value isn't understandable Trying to talk to ICP to ask If you don't reach ICP, you can try different marketing channels, different approach. Until you run out of "good marketing idea"
Kristelle@securelyours

@Pauline_Cx How do you define “no traction”? How long do you give yourself before deciding? And do you try multiple distribution channels before taking this decision?

@rebryk 1st time I’m not overwhelmed by a social media playbook. How did you scale from 0 to 1000$ though?

I scaled Fluently app from $48K → $5M+ ARR during this year (that’s 100x growth) 🚀 A big part of this came from short-form videos: In just 200 days we got 1B+ views across TikTok/IG/YT with $0 ad spend! Here’s my blueprint for hacking UGC growth on social media 👇

OpenAI thinks bikinis are too revealing / sexualized clothing. Nothing shocking about a bikini, that's what a lot of women wear to the beach, around other people, kids, families. 🙄

I'm traveling today for business. I recorded some clips. What's the best process to edit video? For my first video I exported video on my Mac and used Subclip for caption. It would be great to have b-roll/voice over solution keeping data privacy, so Capcut doesn't fit. Maybe @ProSamik can add on Subclip?

I almost fell for a phishing email. It said my meta ad was suspended for violation. I started typing my FB password and then got suspicious, checked the URL (extra suspicious) and logged into my meta ads account before.

New app idea: help men trying to conceive to build healthy habits. Create a “swim strength” score to keep them motivated. Already have a cute logo haha
