ARBITRUM RECOVERS $70.9M FROM KELPDAO EXPLOITER The Arbitrum Security Council just removed $70.97M ETH from the KelpDAO Exploiter’s addresses. They sent it to the address 0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000DA0 North Korea stole the money and Arbitrum stole it back.

• ETH utilization hit 100% → WETH withdrawals at risk
• rsETH markets frozen (Aave, SparkLend, Fluid)
• Lido paused earnETH deposits (rsETH exposure)
• Ethena paused LayerZero bridges (precaution)
• Aave shifting stance: from “Umbrella will cover” → “exploring solutions”
• aWETH stakers in Umbrella vault now face potential slashing

This is what has happened in the last few hours since the KelpDAO exploit. $AAVE dumped 17% from $111 to $92 in hours. $ZRO dropped 12% and $KERNEL dropped 16% in the same window. Aave's TVL collapsed from $26.3B to $20.085B over $6B wiped out. Aave's ETH utilization hit 100%, meaning WETH suppliers are being warned they may not be able to withdraw. Aave froze rsETH markets on V3 and V4. SparkLend and Fluid followed and froze theirs too. Lido paused deposits into its earnETH product due to rsETH exposure. Ethena temporarily paused its LayerZero bridges as a precaution. Aave first said they'd use the Umbrella safety reserve to cover the bad debt then changed their wording to "explore paths to offset the deficit." Users who staked aWETH in the Umbrella vault now face automatic slashing to cover the losses. Aave’s Umbrella was built for this. Now we find out if it holds.

After more than a year of investigation, the New York Times has published a report identifying British cryptographer Adam Back as the most likely candidate to be Bitcoin's pseudonymous creator Satoshi Nakamoto.
The paper's evidence spans thousands of decades-old internet postings, computational linguistic analysis, and a timeline of technical contributions.
Per reports, Back invented Hashcash, proposed decentralized electronic cash in Cypherpunk emails during the late 1990s, and outlined a node-based network architecture that Satoshi later executed almost identically.
He was reportedly everywhere in discussions about digital cash for over a decade and then vanished entirely the moment Bitcoin was born. Back denies all of it.
