@borofergie For many of the current developments planning pre dates rise of parkrun. But the developers I spoke to in their consultations (eg Urban & Civic and O&H) noted this idea.

I know how much hard negotiating went into making this work. It’s a pity that housing developments of this size are not built “parkrun ready” because in my experience few things build community as well as parkrun.

Umpired with a complete newbie today. My one piece of advice - make decisions & be positive with your whistle. Did he? Absolutely. Did he get everything right? Not at all! Did the players care? Nope! the game was safe and he tried to play advantage. Will he do it again? I hope so

The VAR process is seriously flawed. Needs a rethink. Mistakes and ludicrous delays for obvious decisions are sucking the life out of the game.
