@RealTalkChaos Both but mostly pressure, not magic. Inbreeding adds risk, but power, prophecy, and trauma are what push them over the edge

People always say Targaryen madness is just because of all the inbreeding. But I've been thinking, what if it's something more? Like the dragon bond messing with their heads or all those prophetic visions slowly driving them crazy. Daemon having those weird dreams, Aerys hearing voices and seeing fire everywhere, Daenerys with her dragon dreams, even Rhaenyra's vibe feels like destiny is crushing her. There was even that cruel king Maegor who was straight up brutal. Maybe bonding with the most powerful creatures and carrying that magic has a real price. Rhaenyra executing Otto Hightower instead of keeping him alive to be her Hand/political advisor is the dumbest move she’s made yet. She has zero political instincts. Keeping the most calculated bureaucratic mind in Westeros under her thumb would’ve won her the war. Instead, she chose a sloppy execution just to look strong. Pure stupidity. #HOTD #HouseOfTheDragon

Is Zuko the weakest bender in Team Avatar? Toph needs no explanation. Sokka is the brain with no bending skills, but his boomerang skills are fire. Katara goes from waterbending to mastering healing and bloodbending, becoming one of the best waterbenders we see on the show in the same year. Or we don’t have to talk about Aang. #ATLA
