Good Morning,
Let’s pause for a daily scripture break.
I Corinthians 10:13,
“ No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”
Sometimes, as I’m reading other posts or comments to my posts I sense people are tired of resisting the relentless onslaught and pervasiveness of demonic activity in our culture. It sometimes feels like we are overwhelmed and surrounded by evil. I’ve found this particularly true since COVID. There's a palpable decline in the civility and cordiality of the American public. People act as if they can just dump their ill ire in your lap and the receiving person just had to take it. Have you observed businesses posting reminders to customers poor behavior towards the business’ staff will not be tolerated? I’ve also unfortunately noted a marked uptick in narcissistic behavior in people - people are rude, abusive, entitled, and dismissive of the consequences of their objectionable behavior.
When I'm frustrated with being on the receiving end of poor behavior by others and I’m tempted to return the favor, and I often struggle with it - but I try to remind myself of this verse, I Cor 10:13. Please read the verse again. What is this verse telling us?
First, I’m not the only person experiencing unjustified abusive behavior by others - it is “common to mankind”. On some conscious level, when you remind yourself this is simply a common occurrence then mentally you can compartmentalize the frustration which is paramount in maintaining your inner peace.
Secondly, the next phrase of the scripture gives us hope by outlining how we can rely on God to help us through situations such as these. God is “faithful", He won’t allow us to "be tempted beyond our breaking point", and He will also "provide an avenue of escape" from the traps Satan sets in our lives so we can “endure it”. This verse is much more than a pacifying verse to quiet us and allow others to behave poorly.
Some may question, why do we as Christians have to “endure” these temptations? I Peter 1:7 reveals the answer - it says,” these trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold - though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world."
I Cor 10:13 prompts us to reinforce some of the topics we’ve reviewed in past posts such as relying on your inner circle for strength when circumstances become so toxic you want to throw in the towel; allow the Holy Spirit to “bring appropriate biblical verses to your remembrance” (John 14: 26). When I am feeling emotionally down about difficult challenges in my life, I know that’s a sign I need refueling. Renew your mind in the scriptures daily (Romans 12:2), put on the full Armor of God (Ephesians 6:13-17), daily prayer and reflection with the Lord (Mark 1:5) are powerful tools to sustain us.
All of us know, the attacks won’t stop until we leave this planet. Avail yourself and cultivate the fruits of the Holy Spirit which arm you to successfully navigate the trials of life. (Gal 5:22-23, Eph 6:16, James 4:7, John 16:33)
God will never abandon us. Rest in His love.
Peace and be prepared.

She was young.
She supported BLM.
She was an immigrant.
She was a murder victim.
But she was white so now Leftists demonize her.
They are truly evil.

Never thought I'd see the day where leftists targeted murals of a female Ukrainian immigrant.
