In response to community concerns, SJPD Patrol Officers conducted a months long investigation into the sale of narcotics in the area of Branham Lane and Monterey Road. Yesterday afternoon, officers conducted a vehicle stop on the primary suspect. A search of her person revealed she was in possession of approximately 3.44 ounces of suspected methamphetamine in individually wrapped packaging, indicative of narcotics sales. The suspect was later determined to be an employee of the Emergency Interim Housing site on Branham Lane and was on her way to work when she was stopped. She was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for possession of narcotics for sale. Great work by Patrol working with Special Operations to arrest this suspect and prevent these drugs from entering our community.

Santa Clara County electeds have said they will protect the community from ICE. Yet despite these declarations they have allowed a continuing ICE operation at the jail that has led to 46 ppl being taken. We can’t allow that, and call on the county to put actions to their words.✊🏾
