@Fibby1123 As a liberal out of state Mormon in his 50s, I’ve probably said these same things recently.

A liberal non-Mormon in their early 20s who moved to Utah in ~2010 (right after Prop 8) saying these things is entirely unsurprising. *I* would have said those same things back then (not the part about the drug cartel) because I was in my early 20s and angry.

Unpopular opinion but after hearing so many raving reviews about Godzilla Minus One I finally gave it a shot and was not impressed. Felt like any other Godzilla movie that I’ve seen.

Can't remember the last time I shed a tear at the end of a bike race. I could not be more pleased for Wout van Aert. It would have been criminal if he'd ended his career without a win in a cobbled monument. To finally achieve it today, at the end of one of the most epic, dramatic and chaotic editions of Paris Roubaix seems fitting. And to do so in front of one of the top 2 riders of all time just adds to the prestige. Well done Wout. And Belgium: enjoy your party. Surely a national holiday has to be called tomorrow?! #parisroubaix

Originally called the Boulder Dam Project Act signed by President Calvin Coolidge in 1928 was championed by his Secretary of Commerce Herbert Hoover, from inception to finish the project would span three presidencies. 🔺As Secretary of Commerce (under Presidents Harding and Coolidge), Hoover was the driving force behind the project. He chaired the Colorado River Commission, negotiated the Colorado River Compact (1922) that divided water rights among the basin states, and helped draft and push the Boulder Canyon Project Act through Congress. ⏺️ He was elected president in November 1928 and took office in March 1929. ⏺️ On June 25, 1929, President Hoover signed the proclamation that made the Colorado River Compact effective (a required condition for the project to proceed). ⏺️ In 1930, his Secretary of the Interior, Ray Lyman Wilbur, officially named it Hoover Dam at a groundbreaking ceremony. 🔺Construction under Hoover: ⏺️ Bids were opened and the contract awarded to Six Companies, Inc. in March 1931 (while Hoover was still president). ⏺️ Hoover ordered work to begin earlier than originally planned (in spring 1931 instead of later that year). ⏺️ Actual heavy construction (river diversion, etc.) ramped up in 1931–1932 under his administration. The project employed roughly 21K workers at the height of the depression 96 of whom would lose their lives during this massive undertaking

Curious, for my Utah and BYU mutuals who are season ticket holders, do you get stuff/swag each year for being a season ticket holder?

It’s pretty funny to read how many posts I see on here from conservatives about how glad that we are back on the moon. Umm. We are not back on the moon.
