Charts don’t have feelings, but they leave scars. 📉 They tell you to work hard, but success is often just a lucky zip code or a status you were born into. They say the "money printer" is empty for your healthcare, yet it's bottomless for a new war. They promise an AI utopia, while parents wonder how to guide their kids in a world that feels like it’s deleting the map. 🕊️🏛️ I track the numbers, the gold crashes, and the market myths—not for the "hype," but to find the human truth buried under the noise. Success isn't just about the race; it's about where you were standing when it began. Let’s talk about the reality they don't put in the brochures. 2026 is a wild ride, don't stay in the dark. 🛡️✨ #Economy2026 #RealityCheck #SuccessMyth #HumanDignity #FutureOfWork #WealthGap #MarketPsychology #GeographyIsDestiny #AIRevolution #HumanRights #2026 #Economy

Regulations certainly need to be put in place. But as you’re aware, there’s fierce competition, and it’s quite ruthless. The process is moving so fast that you can’t just tell people to wait until we’ve made the regulations. Artificial intelligence and the debates surrounding it didn’t just appear out of nowhere. What I’m saying is that politicians should have already been working on these regulations by now. Sure, there have been delays, but if you tell them they have to wait, you’ll be holding back progress. People are acting as if there’s a Terminator-style apocalypse. The solution isn’t actually that difficult. What politicians really need to do is review their education and employment policies...

@techno_stats @washingtonpost So you think the most powerful technology in the history of the world shouldn’t be regulated. They aren’t talking about stopping it but it does need limits especially in the beginning.

I don’t agree with that view. We shouldn’t think of it like chess. Back in the day, people used to say that beating Kasparov in chess was like crossing a threshold. It’s become a bit like that race. It’s already been proven that AI outperforms humans in almost every field. Let’s just accept that. The moment a specialized AI in a particular scientific field reaches a new stage of discovery in that area, humanity will declare, “We’ve finally achieved AGI.” It feels like it’s just a matter of time before we accept it.

I’m not opposed to him writing the entire scientific paper, but if he’s going to handle the peer review process himself, I’d say stop right there. That’s definitely unfair competition. Let the journal’s reviewers evaluate it. Let him wait a few years for the result. Doing science is like a test of patience these days. Let’s see if he can pass that test.

Science as the exclusive domain of humans is ending. AI scientists are already a reality & they’ll continue to advance & soon surpass us. As a scientist, I expect to become fully replaceable by AI scientists. I hope I can contribute as much as possible alongside our AI colleagues

I believe that many developments, including the energy crisis, will be resolved through AI. However, this transition seems likely to be quite painful. In particular, governments and politicians need to start working now to implement the necessary regulations. However, it appears that they will be the biggest obstacle to these developments. Young people need to take a more active role in politics. I hope they won’t have to wait for the dinosaurs to go extinct...

We’re entering a world where the energy crisis may become one of the biggest short term challenges. Demand for energy is surging as we race to power the age of intelligence. If we want this AI driven era to succeed, we must solve the energy problem, whether through fusion breakthroughs, by increasing solar efficiency or making clean energy far more affordable. At the same time, the job market is heading for a major shift. AI automation is scaling fast and some of you are already seeing it. In the near future, UBI could become essential to meet basic needs. Be aware, And prepare for disruption and also for opportunity. An era of massive abundance is much closer than it looks.

Trying to fix AI inequality by banning data centers is like trying to stop the internet by banning routers. 🏛️📉 A moratorium doesn't stop the "billionaires"; it just ensures the next AGI breakthrough happens in a jurisdiction with zero oversight. 🕊️🛡️ Stifling the infrastructure won't solve the wealth gap; it only guarantees we arrive at the future late and empty-handed. We don't need a 'pause' button on progress—we need a radical new social contract to distribute its gains. You can’t govern a 21st-century revolution by unplugging the servers. 🛢️⛓️ #BernieSanders #AGI

We are rapidly creating technology that could surpass human intelligence, with enormous risks to jobs, society and humanity itself. AI must work for all of us, not just a handful of billionaires. That’s why I’m introducing a moratorium on new AI data centers.

Brent at $110 isn’t just a headline; it’s a global surcharge on reality. 🏛️📉 With diesel up 40% in the West and 50% in emerging markets, we aren't just paying more at the pump—we’re paying for the collapse of cheap logistics. 🛢️⛓️ Every product you touch moves on diesel. Tiktak tiktak!!! Trump’s 5-day "postponement" isn’t a peace treaty; it’s a tactical countdown. While the headlines focus on the rhetoric, this Statista data shows the actual economic oxygen left in the room if the taps stay shut. 🏛️📉 If a ground offensive follows this 5-day window, countries like Turkey (96 days) and Australia (49 days) are walking on a razor-thin line. Japan’s 208-day cushion is the envy of the world, but for most net importers, the 90-day IEA minimum is a terrifyingly short fuse for a modern economy. 🕊️🛡️ The market is currently treating these reserves as a buffer for diplomacy, but they are actually the survival clock for the next escalation. Don't be fooled by the "temporary" relief; when the strategic stocks start to dwindle, the real panic begins. 🛢️⛓️ #EnergySecurity #OilReserves #IranCrisis

Why has gold tumbled? Two reasons: (i) the big rally pre-war sucked in lots of retail investors who're more skittish than the previous buyer base; (ii) volatility meant hedge funds had margin calls, so sold profitable positions like gold to free up cash. robinjbrooks.substack.com/p/why-have-pre…

The UK tax "cliff edge" exposed by Dan Neidle is a masterclass in economic masochism. When doctors and managers are financially incentivized to work less just to keep more of their pay, the system isn't just broken—it’s sabotaging its own growth. 🏛️📉 But let’s be real: this "fiscal drag" isn’t just a British disease; it’s a global design flaw crushing the middle class across Europe. While teachers and small business owners are suffocated by tapers and clawbacks, the ultra-wealthy treat the tax code like a menu of suggestions. They hide behind the "job creator" myth, using shell companies and offshore havens to ensure their capital remains untouched while the person actually doing the work pays the bill. 🕊️🛡️ Justice shouldn't be a burden reserved for those who receive a paycheck. If we want a resilient economy, we must stop punishing productivity and start looking at the massive hoards of capital that currently enjoy near-total immunity. Real reform isn't just about smoothing a curve; it's about ending the era where the wealthiest pay the least. 🛢️⛓️ #TaxReform #EconomicJustice

In Modern Times, Chaplin was right: turning people into mindless, repetitive extensions of the machine was a failure. Now that robots (like in this video) are finally doing that actual 'machine work,' the critique must shift. 🏛️📈 The real crisis isn’t automation—it’s the complete void of a human roadmap. 🤔🛡️ While physical automation is accelerating exponentially, our politicians are still using linear, analog scripts. They must immediately engineer a painless, purposeful transition for education and labor, focusing on purpose, not just production. Or the systemic crash will be catastrophic. 🛢️⛓️ #AGI #Automation #FutureOfWork

It's the little things that make me excited about the future. Many people are (rightfully) worried that AI and robotics will take their jobs. Yes, it's about money they need to live on, and solutions are needed. At the same time, it's often work that's strenuous and tedious. So we can be glad when robots take these tasks off our hands. Furthermore, robots don't need breaks, vacations, or sleep. They can be scaled quickly and are efficient. Globalization, and humanity as a whole, can therefore benefit massively from this increase in efficiency.

@dlacalle_IA Europe isn't just "unprepared" for an energy shock; it’s structurally allergic to prevention. As Daniel Lacalle points out, the real crisis isn’t the shock itself—it’s the decades of choosing short-term political comfort over long-term energy independence. 🏛️📉
