Ser digno es, según la R.A.E., tener la cualidad de ser merecedor de algo, o que sea correspondiente o proporcionado al mérito y condición de alguien o algo. Es decir, que mientras más altos en la jerarquía dentro de las empresas, las instituciones y la sociedad, más méritos y condiciones para ostentar dichos puestos se nos presuponen.
