This was the memory on the F-4E ARN-101 computer. Friction can change the polarity of a magnet too. These computers were often really hard to install and you could scramble the memory if you got too aggressive trying to get it in the mount. I speak from experience.

@thescottbarber @JohnPiper I wouldn't say they were colleagues. I was at the National Conference when Driscoll spoke. During the panel discussion, John warned Driscoll about being TOO culturally relevant. Driscoll joked it off. I didn't get the impression they were chums. He was never invited back.
