@HPbasketball I'd agree that tanking is bad but this solution is worse. I don't see how this isn't devastating to small market teams and their fans.

Some people don't think tanking is a problem at all. Those are usually draftniks and people who just don't care about bad games. I guess that's fine I just don't understand it. Some think it's a problem but the solutions are worse, and I think that's where I'm at. The real solution would just be to shame, fine, and punish violators to get competitive integrity back in line but Silver set a tone years ago that he serves at the BOG's pleasure instead of the office of the commissioner holding independent strength. So he can't actually do anything to punish these teams appropriately because he can't PROVE what everyone knows they're doing.

@Graham_SFN People mad about no probowlers since 21, but 49ers are already loaded with them. It's difficult to add them, find a roster spot, or develop when trying to win. FW would not be who he is without a runway. Ofc Mid round RBs are a killer and Lance my god, but as a whole it's good.

I really think a lot of the discourse surrounding the 49ers draft can be attributed to fan PTSD I think there is less issues with the actually players that were picked and has more so to do with what it represented in fans eyes I understand it too, I get the frustration as I feel it too and the 49ers have a far from spectacular track record in recent drafts but I do think while we can have an initial feeling towards a draft class, we can also be able to quantify it better once we have taken time to look into these prospects and given them an objective review and not just passing judgement because of “consensus” There are players I really like in this draft haul and others where I am skeptical that it was good pick but I think it has a real shot at being a successful class for the Niners at first review I think now is a good time for us to take a step back and lets see what they look like in camp, preseason and during their rookie seasons A lot of people were dogging Upton Stout early in the year and now he’s many’s favorite player from last year’s class, point being, let’s wait and see from here on out and see how they develop
