What really surprises me isn’t her comment, it’s that people are shocked by it! I’ve said from day one that the Reform Party UK has always been a home for racists. This kind of statement isn’t new; it’s just ANOTHER example of what they’ve stood for all along, led by Nigel Farage! Er HELLO. The only difference now is that she feels comfortable saying it out loud in a society where racism has been normalized by the media and politicians! safe spaces have been created for racism to THRIVE.
