Every day is a Valko day! I’ve gathered my thoughts a bit, and here is what I have to say. Up until this moment, I kept making excuses for the-company-that-must-not-be-named. I was a loyal player who truly believed they would listen to us. It was all in vain... For me, Valko’s removal feels like death. THEY KILLED HIM. Brutally. Mercilessly. I will no longer feed myself with empty hopes or look for logic in the actions of the-company-that-must-not-be-named. In my eyes, they are MURDERERS. So, what’s next? I will keep fighting. But on these terms: — I will never play the-game-that-must-not-be-named again. — I will not engage in any actions that support the-company-that-must-not-be-named in one way or another, but I will demand answers. — I will support creators who make content about Valko. — I will do good deeds in Valko’s name. If I’m not allowed to live through Valko’s story, I will create it myself. In my music, fanfiction, poems, and drawings. Even if I end up being the last madman who remembers him.

Yeah, true. But it's not like we, as fans, can just move the company to another country or a different place, you know? What I mean is, what are we doing right now? Because I understand that the protest sentiments will continue regardless. I want to gather as much information as possible to spread it and maybe try to get things organized. Right now, everything just looks so chaotic, which really worries me. I just want to understand which direction we should take next.

This is more complex than people are realizing. Infold CANNOT defend themselves at this point. The Chinese state media made an article about them. This is not like CNN or CBS making a statement. This is essentially the mouthpiece of the Chinese Communist Party. If you're looking at this through the eyes of someone in an uncensored country, you're looking at this wrong. Contradicting state media is essentially defying the government. Doing so could be a death sentence to their company. ​If Infold released a statement arguing that the state media misunderstood the trope and that the Valko isn't actually dangerous, it could be interpreted as a refusal to accept regulatory guidance and an unacceptable implication that the state is wrong. The only thing they could do in that moment was try to stop the initial backlash and find a solution. We need to give them the time to comply with the government orders and find a way to prove themselves innocent without committing social suicide. I understand everyones feeling, as I've been furious too. I didn't initially realize how bad the situation was and solely blamed them for ignoring us as well. We all know Infold. They create wonderful characters, but they're money hungry. They would not give up a character and keep him gone knowing how much money he'd make. They were extremely adamant that he was staying until the day things got out of control in the media. That post by state news was essentially a government warning for them. Infold hasn't even updated their pinned posts, it's on the movie banner still (two banners behind). I'm sure they'd much prefer to advertise Wander in Wonder and try recoup their money. So many of us did not realize how deep this goes. But we need to acknowledge it now. We deserve to be mad about many things, as Infold has things they should have fixed years ago. But this current situation is out of their control, it's a smear campaign that went way too far because of a couple toxic antis who weaponized false information. Alright. I’ve read a lot today. And honestly, right now I get the impression that at this stage, our hands are tied. I completely agree that we have absolutely no way to influence the media in another country. In fact, we shouldn't even be doing that, considering we live so far away. Could you please share your thoughts on what we can actually do at this point, in this very moment—firstly, to avoid causing any harm, and secondly, to somehow still achieve our goal? I would love to hear an expert opinion, as I understand you’ve studied this situation. This is crucial for us to be able to organize and spread the right narratives.

You guys want to brand pg as NATIONAL TRAITORS, this is what will happen: a) You report national Chinese state media or and; b) You report national Chinese state media to international newspapers like the NYT to criticize and you get: 1) PG releasing a statement saying that they were fully wrong about Valko, that VALKO was in fact illegally trespassing and that they APOLOGIZE for not getting the message clearer to us international folks. In other words this means that WE WILL NEVER GET VALKO AGAIN NOT EVEN IN A SECOND GAME. 2) PG just came out of a 731 controversy, they crossed a ‼️POLITICAL RED LINE‼️. Them being alive now after this is a MIRACLE.‼️ They are also being accused of NOT promoting Chinese culture well. If you add to this international articles criticizing the reporting of Chinese state media (remember, Chinese state media are NEVER wrong, and China takes all foreign critics as political provocation) then pg IS CERTAIN to be accused of creating ANTI CHINA SENTIMENTS AMONG GLOBAL PLAYERS! ⚠️THIS WILL CREATE MORE DRASTIC PUNISHMENTS FROM AUTHORITIES, and the FIRST ONE is SHUTTING DOWN THE GLOBAL SERVER! ⚠️ ———- I understand that when you see fake news, the first thing you would want to do is report them, but in some countries like China, the goal is not factual reporting but ideological narratives. China has a long history of propaganda, this is NOTHING new and there is NOTHING you can do about it. ‼️You guys have to learn about the political climate of other countries, specially the one of the game you are playing! It is UNACCEPTABLE to see claims like these going around when Google is FREE!‼️ This is like seeing fake news from North Korea’s medias and trying to report them. ⚠️All the secondary media speaking against pg use STATE MEDIA claims, so don’t try and report those just because they are not state media. The state media narrative has already been ESTABLISHED! Good morning everyone, today I’d like to talk about one of my favorite things in the Chinese culture. The Mid-Autumn festival 🥮 allow me to preface this by saying that I am simply a player who is passionate about fairness. I am not being paid to say this, I am speaking factual truth from my own life. The season of Autumn here in the United States has always been my favorite seasons. It is not too hot, the sun dips below the horizon earlier, and the leaves change deep colors of red, orange, and yellow as they prepare to fall for the winter. Autumn has always signaled the end of the year, leading into holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, which are holidays that take place all over the world. We spend time with family, and make memories. The Mid-Autumn Festival in China marks the end of Autumn harvest. This festival is accompanied by one of my favorite Chinese delicacies, the Mooncake! 🥮 A sweet treat made with time, patience, and love. I was excited to receive an event in 2025 for the mid-Autumn festival by Infold. Our favorite characters faces were sweetly imprinted on little mooncakes for us to have and celebrate with the Chinese people. I have known about this festival for quite some time, and it is the reason I have built lasting friendships in my life. I look forward to, and have celebrated myself in past years by buying mooncakes from my local sellers. Infold’s mission to deliver Chinese culture to the world is a passionate and unique one. I know there are some players out there who got to experience the mid-autumn festival for the first time and that is special, even to me, as someone who is not Chinese, nor a Chinese citizen. Culture and understanding it will continue to unite the world, allow Infold to continue their work now with their newest project, Valko. I want to spend this years Mid-Autumn festival with him too. There is still much to discover about Chinese culture with Valko alone, and if he is completely removed we may never get to see it. Erasure of Chinese culture was never their goal. I’m going to be a bit vulnerable on the timeline here in hopes that it helps to clear Valko. #ValkoWasFramed I narrowly escaped two instances of sexual assault in my lifetime. I am luckier than most women in this regard. Once when I was 11 and once more when I was 16. I, like many women, know all too well the dangers of predatory men. Valko is the opposite of those predatory men. Valko as a character shows such a calming, warm, and safe presence. He is a family man and was raised around women. He is a paragon of masculinity and is a protector and a provider. Chinese media was witness to a pantomime. They were led astray by bad faith actors. Why? I don’t know. But I do know one thing. Valko is a protector of women and a role model for healthy masculinity for men and boys. Restore his honor. I know many of you want to start leaving positive ratings so the press can't use PPG's public numbers against us. But do you realize what that would be? It would be doing exactly what PPG did with Valko: caving under pressure to protect what we love. It would show that our position changes the moment we feel cornered. So no. We keep doing what we've been doing, while making our position absolutely clear: we stand by Valko, and we reject how he has been portrayed and treated in the media. We will keep: - Sending emails to PPG explaining that once Valko is reinstated into the story, with his current appearance and his promo design, we will come back and support them. (with love and respect) - Updating our App Store reviews saying exactly that, with 1 star. The rating is not hate. It is the record that something is still broken, and it comes back up when he does. - Sharing on XHS the beautiful campaigns carried out in his name, because that love deserves to be seen. (Update your CN sisters) - Sharing our curiosity and the warm, kind moments we keep having with CN players, because they are not our enemies and never were. What we cannot allow is for this campaign, built entirely on love, to be stained with hate: - 🚫DO NOT attack Chinese TV stations or outlets on CN social media. Not in their comments, not on their platforms. - 🚫 DO NOT take the haters' bait. If they show up in your posts, delete, block, done. And above all: DO NOT SPREAD RUMORS. Verify things yourself. People saying it might take longer than expected to get our boy back and I’m like Yeah so? I don’t care if it takes weeks, months or longer. Sweetheart I’ve waited four years for a character to come back before. You really think I’m gonna let that stop me? FFXIV players might know about a certain character who was introduced in ARR who didn’t come back until several expansions later. And the odds of him coming back were nigh on zero as he was part of a side quest. I loved that boy through multiple expansions without once forgetting about him. I think I’m good, I’ll wait if I have to, but I’ll keep sharing my love for Valko for however long it takes and then some. No I will not forget him.
