It's incredible how the ATLA fandom hates Aang. The damn movie has his name on it, but the script is bad because it focuses too much on him being the Avatar and not on the flop Zuko

people once again continue to weaponize the air nomad genocide to create new arguments against aang and it's gotten to a point. it's upsetting to see so many people reduce aang to some calculated "he only had kids to bring back airbending" take

psa: katara and aang are both genocide survivors. framing them starting a family as something “immoral” or as aang “using her to revive airbending” is a really weird and disgusting misread of both their characters
