Heated Rivalry is one of the recipients of the 19th Television Academy Honors. "The award recognizes 'exceptional television programs and their producers who have harnessed the extraordinary power of television to advance social change. Each year, Television Academy Honors celebrates programs across numerous platforms and genres that raise awareness about complex issues facing society. This year's honorees include compelling programs that address the scourge of social media and online misogyny; disability rights and the fight for deaf representation; end-of-life caregiving and the bureaucracy of cancer treatment; back history, social justice and racism; political extremism, religious tribalism and media hypocrisy; and, LGBTQ+ representation, inclusivity in sports and toxic masculinity." That man’s fans either have amnesia or are collectively on copium because when the Verizon ad dropped, everyone was gagged. People were saying it felt more like a movie trailer than an ad. It hit 1.1 million views on youtube in less than 6 hours. Not to mention the hit tweets and edits. Yet the other one’s fans keep saying none of Connor’s projects make as much noise as Hudson’s.
