New York will now have its first female governor because a Democratic governor resigned after inappropriate behavior with women. New York had its first black governor 13 years ago after a different Democratic governor resigned because of his behavior with women.

NEW: The Wadsworth Lab has confirmed New York State’s first case of the U.K. variant (B.1.1.7) of the virus that causes COVID. An individual from Saratoga County, New York, tested positive for the strain. The individual had no known travel history.

Announcing 256 new cases of #COVID19 identified in Albany County since yesterday. Unfortunately there were also 5 more residents who have lost their lives to the virus. That brings our total to 63 deaths this month, compared to the 55 we saw in May.
