in despair when i remember i have no idea how to write constance von nuvelle

writing new char voices sure is a time (especially when i can't personally relate to any of the chars) but it's definitely an interesting time!

it's been a hot minute since i used this acct, but here i am with a very tentative wip that will most likely change a ton bc new character voices tending to take some time to settle in and all that

orange and purple for sure bc it’s hard for me to keep track of everything and i can write for $$$, third can be anything else

ok i think the next fic imma work on is a lwj & lan jingyi fic, since it's already more than half done and is currently 22.5k (what's with me and my recent fics being so relatively long haha)

my take is that jgy loved and cared for jl, but not more than his own desire for respect. so he had contingency plans upon contingency plans and ended up using the worst of them bc nhs forced his hand by threatening to reveal everything jgy wanted concealed

i wanted to focus on that ambiguity. there's a general perception that bc jgy ultimately proved to be an antagonist, he is Bad so jl can't possibly have respected/appreciated him more than jc in some ways. but this does a disservice to nuanced characterization
