Notice how Cursor isn’t saying “for developers”. Just “Useful AI”. Cursor will likely become a direct competitor to Codex and Claude Desktop. - Their in app browser is great. - Their composer model is good and fast for most tasks They just need to render documents like cowork and codex, and I’d consider using it for most of my work (as a non-dev)

Isn’t the native unistyles-backed compiler only available in the pro version? There is literally a comparison page on uniwind website showing the performance different between free & pro. IMO the entire point of uniwind is the unistyles compiler otherwise there are other tailwind libraries for react native.

You guys are young and to be honest playing the wrong game. Young entrepreneurs have high execution speeds perfect for running VC backed startups. The ideas is your head match the people’s demands, till the time you’ll be feeling comfortable with a bootstrapped business, you’ll probably loose this advantage and will have no other option than to grow at your pace. My family is very supportive because I'm the second child, and my elder sister is successful, so they understand the pressure and how these things work.
In Aditya's case, it's different. He's the eldest child, so he has the responsibility of making it big or at least earning enough to have a solid package and a strong monthly income.
To be honest, I'm quite privileged in that regard.
However, for middleclass children, business is a very risky pursuit because it often requires continuously reinvesting the money you earn instead of taking it home as income.
That can be difficult when your family expects stability in the early years of your business.

Let me get this straight. Even if India built the Claude or SpaceX, our own people would have dragged us down. Try building one product and selling it in India, you will see it. When things get sold by whites the perceptive value is so strong, which makes the trust as a default. Many founders are facing these issues, maybe some would accept it. Let's try to build and consume Indian products first. Let the good ones become great first, maybe there lies another golden global brand from India. 🇮🇳🚀

Building sovereign AI systems is must, but we are missing another layer. Can we give every Indian having mobile internet access to build a simple website using open source models today for free or minimal cost ?
Models like Kimi, Qwen are capable enough. But can as a country we empower every Indian to build ?
We need to jump few steps ahead somehow.

Yes a foundational model costs 50/60 B $, huge hyper cloud capacity. US is investing in excess of 2 Tr$ over 3 years.

Last I checked, @NandanNilekani sir had expressed reservations about India building homegrown LLMs in the near future, suggesting instead that we leverage existing models and focus on the application layer. @VasantMarimuthu Its too busy, and the AI images scream AI. Use better models to generate them. Also use claude design and give it a reference Pinterest design, iterate till you like it. Then ask claude to modify your shopify theme.

Problem with building a shopify clone for the indian d2c ecosystem is that shoipify itself is too good and people are happy with it. Like you cannot even give free usage for three years to people like us and tell us to switch. It is not a money issue. It is a peace of mind issue

For 5 years I had gotten used to eating home cooked food daily.
Now the last 10 months I have found myself trapped in non-home situations due to work.

Right now 8 days and counting.
Eating outside food is largely leaving me mentally not in a good space.
I didn't feel like ordering dinner last night, skipped. Today I'm struggling to figure out a brunch. Just opening the food delivery app is creating a sense of revulsion.
Gotta find a way to deal with this.

It’s more of a harness game now. With current open source capabilities and man power I think India will be able to push forward. We just need to rapidly educate people / children to use AI, start building stuff. If we are able to percolate down the “building” mindset India will be good to go.

Strong validation of the Sovereign AI thesis. Every large country needs its own models - open and closed source plus chips, data centers, and cloud.
Indian founders have built their stack on Chinese open-source models. What happens when the next generation stops being open source?
China has every incentive to open-source while behind, then close the gate once everyone depends on it.
The case for India building its own models, both open and closed has never been stronger.

@kushgrwl None of the Indian attempts ever tried to build app ecosystem around their solution. Unless you allow agencies to earn money they won’t push your software to their clients. And initial push needs to be from agencies & app advocates because normal people rely on their opinion.
