VP Vance has clearly put a lot into trying to get this right, and he’s getting real praise in some Pakistani circles for that. I hope his efforts are rewarded, because people are still looking to the US to show leadership and bring this to an end. But Iran now needs to do the difficult part, show restraint and make the concessions required.

Look, I’ve said this before, Pakistanis need to stop abusing the UAE, and certain Emirati socialites need to stop blaming Pakistan for everything.
There are plenty of people in the UAE who do appreciate Pakistan’s role in the Islamabad Talks. There are also plenty in Pakistan who appreciate what the UAE offers, including scope for stronger ties.
We’ve just seen the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince in Beijing at the time of a US–Iran ceasefire. UAE–China ties have been expanding rapidly for years and will keep growing.
At the same time, Pakistan is also in close contact with China. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar spoke with China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi and met the Chinese ambassador, and Beijing openly backed Pakistan’s diplomatic role.
Point is, everyone needs to keep options open. The US was wisely in close talks with Pakistan, despite being at war with Iran. No one knows if this ends in the war of wars or some kind of deal, so reacting emotionally is pointless. Pakistanis and Emiratis both need to keep perspective and keep doors open. Something tells me some of this is already being managed quietly, and that approach should expand.

One of the striking aspects of the Islamabad Summit was the universally positive experience of the journalists who visited Pakistan and shared their positive impressions of the country and its people. Pakistan's decision to roll out the red carpet will surely pay dividends.

Mother of the Nation, Fatima Jinnah never followed this tradition but still remained the most graceful lady in the history of Pakistan

This Iranian female reporter is going viral on Pakistani social media for her impeccable Hijab. This is a tradition we've lost in the Pakistani media decades ago.

Today in History
13 April, 1948 — a defining dawn in the making of Pakistan Air Force. At RPAF Training School Risalpur, the Father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, witnessed the Passing-out Parade of a new generation of air warriors, received by Wing Commander Asghar Khan, the future Commander-in-Chief destined to play a pivotal role in shaping the force in line with Quaid’s vision. Amidst the crisp parade lines and resolute young faces, the Quaid delivered a vision both urgent and uncompromising:
“There is no doubt that any country without a strong Air Force is at the mercy of any aggressor. Pakistan must build up her Air Force as quickly as possible. It must be an efficient Air Force, Second to None.”
These were not mere words, they were a strategic directive, a call to rise, build and dominate the skies. Decades on, that clarion call still reverberates through every rank of Pakistan Air Force; driving an unyielding pursuit of excellence, unwavering vigilance and an iron resolve to defend the nation against all threats, at all costs.

The U.S.-Iran negotiation in #Islamabad was a step towards moving in the direction of deescalation.
China hopes:
🔶the ceasefire will be kept;
🔶disputes will be resolved through political and diplomatic means rather than reigniting the flames of war;
🔶conditions will be created for early return of peace to the Gulf.
