It's OFFICIAL! This fall, I will begin a position as a tenure track faculty member at Lycoming College's physics and astronomy department! I'm so thrilled and excited to join the department and to begin teaching courses and mentoring undergrads through research! THE DREAM!

In other words, when an institution values results more than growth (especially for trainees, who--newsflash--do not spring fully formed out of Modern Physics I), that institution will fail to provide resources needed to enable that very growth.

For that matter (and this may get me yelled at), their standards of achievement are likely so misaligned with your growth and needs that it will be difficult to wrangle the support you need to continue to grow!

If I'm not mistaken, the average Level 2 charger takes 8 hours to fill up a typical EV. Obviously only fair if a free gas pump takes that long to fill up a single car's tank.

Some jets are straight. Some jets are bent. @bunchofmelarkey is trying to sort out why some black holes have their jets of matter askew because it can tell us a little bit more about how galaxies like ours evolve. news.wisc.edu/speed-and-dens…
