Barring an unlikely turnaround, from a side that have lost 7 of their last 8 games, this'll be the 3rd time in 4 seasons that Chelsea fail to qualify for the Champions League. In that time they have finished 45, 28 and 15 points behind the Champions, and they are currently 22 points behind leaders Arsenal. They haven't come close to a title challenge.
