@40Astrup Idk how goalie coaches would coach this but from a game perspective I’d want my goalies to make low risk plays and if they have an opportunity to fire it down ice and potentially create a 1 on 1 or an odd man rush I’m all for it. And I think this is generally what we see happen.

Goalies with the puck on their stick in this game is a coaches worst nightmare. Goalies just because you’re better ping pong players and golfers doesn’t mean you can pass the puck like Crosby.

@MNHockeyStar For sure. Many times you see goalies try to be the hero, coming way out of the net just to make a 3-foot pass

@40Astrup Sometimes it’s better to not make a wildly dangerous play and just throw the puck back in the corner or maybe even just cover the puck. (I’m not a goalie and haven’t played goalie) I just would have been furious if I was the coach. The goalies were noticeably conservative after.
