FRIDAY was released 31 years ago today.
The entire film was shot in just 20 days in a known Crips territory, so red clothing of any kind was banned from the set to prevent cast and crew from being mistaken for rival Bloods gang members.

This guy is upset because he owes $5,000 in property taxes. He goes to the bank and gets all one dollar 💵 bills to pay thinking the tax office will feel his annoyance. They are just staff and can’t control how much a person owes, he should take that up with the county auditor. Do you think his actions were petty or justified?

Baby boomers aren't selling their homes & why would they?
They paid $90,000 for a home 25+ years ago, owe $0 & have $550k+ of equity.
"Downsizing" means they'd need to buy something for $450k + take on a 6% loan.
Many won't move & this will keep inventory low.

He could get paid so little or only gets limited hours.. there’s lots of reasons he could receive benefits. But if he wants a sugary drink bad enough he can still buy it.
