@ScientificGems We think this new formula should push MOV teams to drive as far as possible with external energy efficiency, average occupancy, and practicality score offering opportunities to differentiate from other teams that achieve a similar distance.

@ASC_SolarRacing The new ASC 2026 MOV scoring formula is a lot closer to 2013/15 WSC scoring (though not identical). Applied to WSC 2015 data, the new scoring formula would bump Bochum up to 2nd place, which I think is fair. And the new formula will be MUCH easier to visualise than ASC 2024!

@ScientificGems We’ve taken some time to apply the new formula to past events to see how results might have been impacted but the new formula may result in different driving strategies which could have an even bigger impact on results.
