Most likely it’ll be better for my general wellbeing & productivity too. Maybe I’ll do more writing and less doom-scrolling 🤷♀️
It’s also just not a very useful platform anymore.

@adam_tooze Good qn- harder to pin down causation in these respects, but in the UK I think it’s significant how Reeves & Miliband have made explicit ref to IRA to make the case for “securonomics” & green industrial strategy & that’s a real policy shift not just vibes (tho early days here)

Exaggerating the costs of climate action is a classic "discourse of delay"
Yes we need trillions of dollars, but it's an investment: the benefits (avoided damage, economic growth, fuel savings) outweigh costs.
Ask whose interests are served by massive climate finance estimates.
