@Finley_Futanari It's gonna happen. There's no explaining it or preventing it. I had one once that went after me because he got mad about a video I made pre-COVID. He really went at it for a while, sockpuppets and everything. People just get weirdly parasocial sometimes.

Ok, cursory research tells me that MGQ was drawing on existing aesthetics for Nekomata's design. Interesting how existing archetypes were effectively incorporated into the monster girl umbrella while monster girls themselves established a unique identity.

Huh, I forgot that Monster Girl Quest basically predicted a bunch of vtuber character designs. I already know MGQ basically spawned modern monster girls, but I'm going to have to look into how much it influenced kemonomimi in general, because it might actually be a lot.

@EnuciusLabinac Also, half the JRPGs I've played don't even unlock their full gameplay ecosystem until you're like 10 hours in, so it's not like I can even make a quick judgement for myself

@EnuciusLabinac I can listen to someone talk about a JRPG for 20 minutes and still have no idea how it actually plays. It's actually very frustrating when I'm trying to pick a new one to play.

@anymanfitness At the same time, I can stack wooden pallets as high as I can reach, so maybe it's just my chest muscles that are weak

@anymanfitness I'll be honest, I'm a blue collar worker and reasonably strong, but I can only do like 5 without cheating. It's probably because I don't actively exercise and I'm big (I'm down 32 lbs, but I'm still fat and also have a lot of muscle mass due to genetics)

How many push-ups (all the way down and up, zero cheating) do you think the average guy can do? Not gym rat. AVERAGE guy. If I had to guess, I would set the over/under at 8.5. Maybe lower.

@Fat_Electrician I think the Pinkertons would make for a good video. People don't realize that they still exist and tried to sue Rockstar over their portrayal in Red Dead Redemption. They basically morphed from detectives and bounty hunters into a corporate militia. It's insane.

What do you wanna see on fat files?

I would be interested in seeing the results if the question was framed differently. Like instead of passively pressing a blue button, you have to actively step onto train tracks where the train will only stop if 50% choose the same

Oh my fucking god. I remade my Payday 2 loot tally video to finally make it up to date and less than 2 weeks later they announce the first new Payday 2 DLC in years. It's not a new heist, but now there's a nonzero chance they'll add more later, making the video outdated. Bruh

How did I forget about this character? She's not important to the story or anything, but that design is so clever.

Another fun detail that I forgot about since my first MGQ playthrough is how Alice is basically the logical extreme of the tsundere archetype. It's not just romantic, she's that way about anything that gets her excited (except food). It really does a lot for her own character arc

I'm not saying the people who adapt video games into films/shows need to be passionate gamers themselves, but is it too much to ask they be directed by people who DON'T have blatant contempt for the medium?
