Yes. A "reserve currency" is just a numeraire. A "reserve asset" is the instrument you actually invest in. China does not have stacks of dollar bills in the basement. They own U.S. Treasury notes. This is one of many flaws with Bitcoin. It's a "currency," but there are no assets.

I've not been commenting on the terrible Israel/Palestine thing, but the politicised policing we see in the UK is incredible.
I was threatened with arrest on Westminster bridge by the riot police unless I moved, but a protected group can apparently protest there with impunity.

As fiat money impoverishes people & forces both parents to work longer & longer hours, the state is forced to step in. Kids coming to school unfed is just a symptom of a MUCH bigger problem.
